Small Pet Cardboard Bedding

Small Pets

Hamsters, rats and guinea pigs are spoilt for choice when it comes to  bedding choices, but when it comes to the best choice – that can only be cardboard; it’s a soft bedding, with no sharp edges. Cardboard is highly absorbent too. And small pet parent knows that damp or dirty conditions can lead to health complaints, respiratory infections or inflamed feet.

Our cardboard bedding is free from dyes and chemicals, and as we source only clean new cardboard, it’s free from contaminants such as spores and food, and all dust has been extracted.  Cardboard is perfect for absorbing unpleasant smells, and it’s easy to clean.

The environmental impact of our bedding is kept to a minimum; it’s biodegrable, breaks down within 10-12 weeks and won’t add to landfill. The material is all recycled and we’re in the process of upgrading our fleet to be entirely electric.

Fact:

A guinea pig's teeth grow continually throughout its life, so chewing is essential to keep them worn down and prevent dental problems. Guinea pigs' digestive systems allow them to chew wood and wood-based products such as paper and cardboard without any ill effects.

We created our bedding with health & sustainability in mind.

ELITE Animal Bedding has many features you wouldn’t find in other types of bedding, including an extremely low dust content. Our bedding is comfortable, supportive bedding and can be used in stables or a wide range of animal enclosures. It's made from a 100% recycled source, and it's easily compostable.

Kayleigh

"Most cost effective, a lot more absorption than my regular bedding. Composts better so more ECO. It was easier to muck out than taking out half the bedding as I would normally, as it didn't stick to the bedding, so easier to sieve out. Pretty much dust free as well so great for horses who may have respiratory problems like COPD."

"ECO Animal Bedding would benefit a lot of people as it seems to work well with most of the animals on my farm. The bedding is highly absorbent and would probably rot down quicker in the muck pile than wood shavings."
